My dedication

My first trip to the beach was a very special one. On June 11th I got dressed up in a beautiful white dress (alrhough in this picture it makes me look like I don't have a neck), and a whole slew of people came to watch me as my mommy and daddy promised to raise me in a Christian home. They vowed to love me with the love of Christ as best they can. Supposedly this involves discipline, teaching, correcting and rebuking, but I am focusing on the love part. Mr. Thornley, a dear dear friend of mom and dad's, officiated while his lovely family (and the Chicos) looked on. Praise God from whom all blessings flow....

Uncle Mike

I promise to update with a current post in the near future, but mommy is fresh out of recent pictures. She left the saved pics in good ole NC by accident. But, all is well. This gives me a chance to share a couple of fond memories starting with the time uncle Mike came to visit....

In June I had the distinct privilege of finally meeting my uncle Mike. My dad has many fond names for Mike that apparently I am not allowed to use. So, Uncle Mike it is. I'm quite grateful to have him living close by in Cali. He and daddy tried out the playground in my new neighborhood to make sure it was safe for me. How kind and thoughtful. Mommy says that at my current rate of development, I will surpass each of them in maturity in about 4 years. Until then...

Britney's not the only one

Leave it to grandparents to break all the rules. Not only has my Papa offered me chocolate ice cream, cow's milk, mello yellow and lemonade (none of which I consumed) so far this visit...now this.

For those of you bothered by this photo, the car was in park.

Mrs. Petree

Well, Aunt Lulu tied the knot with a Mr. Jason Petree. Nice fellow. Cried like a baby while Leslie walked down the aisle in her pretty white dress. Mom thought it was very touching, and yet she's always trying to get me to stop crying. Go figure.
